KOVNAFEST
KovnaFest is a music festival built on the ideals of cultivating culture, community, and the connection between distant yet closely related areas of the diverse music and art world. It has been gradually growing from this fertile ground for over a decade. The festival has earned its irreplaceable place on the Prague art scene by unconventionally connecting not only genres and their representatives but also generations and seemingly disparate subcultures. It creates a platform for the meeting of various, not just musical, discourses. The festival brings together established artists, emerging performers, sound experiments, folklore, contemporary classical music, noise, jazz, and more,
co-creating an impressive and unique mosaic. This mosaic provides both visitors and musicians the opportunity to explore entirely different approaches, forms, and contents.
The main goal of the festival is to create a foundation where people can engage with artists beyond traditional genre boundaries, featuring performances outside the scope of "conventional" genre festivals. KF explores unique modes of expression, performance styles, and distinctive approaches, emphasizing the authenticity of each project. It curates these elements into cohesive wholes, creating an extraordinary atmosphere.
